Loop pile is made by weaving the same size loops of fiber into carpet backing this type of carpet resists footprints and vacuum marks because of its strong loops.  This type of carpet is ideal for high traffic areas, Loop piles with short and densely packed loops are easy to clean preventing dirt from filtering into carpet. Higher loops create a more luxurious appearance and this style of carpeting comes in a variety of colors and thicknesses.

Shag pile are far more stylish than some of the relics of the past, the new shags are perfect for todays decor. The longer yarn fiber is twisted in a loose design technique this relaxed twist makes the indeivdual yarn strands further apart than a convebtional weave. Cut twist pile involves the cutting and twisting of loops that are created during the weaving of a carpet. The loops are cut to the same height. This gives the carpet pile the appearance of softness and can be made into various levels of thickness in the pile. As a result, while cutpile is made using natural fibers, many are made with a blend of man-made fibers helping in its ability to hold up well under a lot of traffic.
